ABOUNA LABIB, this is an impromptu letter to you
regarding the
terrible debacle in the Mideast which is more spawned by the Zionist
American
than by any other element in the Mideast. I am a typical American whose
thinking, mentality, and prejudices are entirely susceptible to being
shaped
by the mass media of communication. I am not immune from the barrage
of their
nearly uniform anti-Christian propaganda. However, I am fortunate to
be
insulated from the toxicity of their onset because I am a Catholic
Christian
retired professor of Philosophy in an erstwhile Jesuit institution.
Hence, I
have had access to publications, periodicals, and Vatican official
teaching
which ordinary Americans do not read nor heed. Further, I came by your
web
site and discovered several years ago a Catholic priest from the MidEast
who
is simultaneously an orthodox Catholic and a full-blown semite who
harbors no
malignant hostility toward Judaism nor any axe to grind with bona fide
Arabs
who embrace the religion of Islamism. What a joy to find the Heart
of Christ
in the "spirit" of this priest, Abouna Labib Kobti.
It is from you, Abouna, that I have come to learn
of the reality that
exists in the MidEast. It is from you that I have come to learn that
Zionism
is the Jew who has secularized Judaism and its sacred mission conferred
on it
in the Old Testament. It is from you that I have learned that Islamism
is not
an enemy of Christianity. It is from you that I have become
more and more
sensitized to the radical fanaticism that the elitist American harbors
toward
Muslims. It is from you that I have come to appreciate that the Muslims
who
do not have the grace of Christ's divine mercy still have the grace
of
recognizing the primacy of God in their lives, the very God of Abraham,
the
God who is the Father of Jesus Christ!
American Catholics are blindly ignorant that their
primary interest
in the Holy Land is not the nation of Israel but the Palestinian nation
which
has been despoiled of its heritage, land, and inviolable rights to
be
regarded with human decency. Why this blindness? Because we have been
supersaturated with the history of the holocaust which most Jewish
individuals regard as their own legacy and no one else's. There were
many
non-Jewish people who perished in the holocaust. But, these are negligible
in
the Jewish version of the holocaust. What makes the holocaust so despicable
is that it was not aimed at the Spirit of Judaism, it was blindly and
satanically directed toward Jewish Zionism which is the secularization
of the
Jewish Spirit of the Old Testament. And, what has survived in the nation
of I
srael today? It is the Zionism of the holocaust. And its holocaustic
"spirit"
survives to inflict on the Palestinians its maliciousness and malice
in the
pursuit of a "higher cause" which is not far removed from zeitgeist
of the
Nazi nation.
We Americans who were repulsed by the Nazi atrocity
now participate
in this same atrocity with the same disdain that we derided the German
people
who allowed the butchering and barbaric treatment of the victims of
the
holocaust. The holocaust persists and continues in the MidEast and
the
Palestinians have been its hapless victims. What civilization has not
yet
learned but is being educated in is the reality that it is still human
individuals who fail God's Holy Spirit who revealed Himself to Abraham.
It is
not in the name of Abraham that Israelites are butchering and dehumanizing
themselves in their holocaustic eradication of Palestinians. For, the
latter
both Christians and Muslim Arabs are themselves the offspring of Abraham's
Holy Spirit. This is what I have learned in attending to your "intefada"
and
search for peace and justice in the Holy Land.
The enormity of the injustice being inflicted on
the Palestinians
today in the Holy Land cries to God for retribution. The Jews who view
themselves as the victim of the Nazi holocaust have become its victors.
They
have learned a lesson which they are teaching the world today which
the
erstwhile Christian nations, espcially the United States, seems to
be
learning first hand. The only successful way of escaping being victimized
by
the "spirit" of the holocaust is to become one's self a victor in waging
a
holocaustic battle on others. Thus, the Jewish people are not only
memorializing their own holocaust, they are giving evidence of how
well they
keep alive its Godless atrocity and dehuminizing ferocity in the land
they
claim for themselves as their own heritage bequethed to them by God
Himself!!
Let us continue to pray and to seek the peace that
God promised to
all of us. That very same peace for which offered His own body and
blood.
Prayerfully and cordially yours,
Richard OCDS
