As a direct result of the Arab Israeli wars, the Israeli occupation and the ongoing policy of displacement, house demolition, land confiscation and the restriction on giving licenses for construction, many Palestinian Christian had no choice but to emigrate to the West looking for better chances.

The idea of creating the Living Stones Housing project came from as a commitment of the Local Church to assist the Christian Community in the Holy Land by providing low cost homes to young Christians. The Christian Youth are the most affected category of the society due to the occupation and the poor economy. They feel frustrated, and they are not able to realize any hope coming!

The Living Stones Housing is meant to be a Sign of Hope for the Christian Youth regardless of denominations. This is accomplished by providing homes through job creation and accompanying income. The main target is to provide 47 apartments with all the services needed such as a Kindergarten, a playground, shopping center and parking areas.

The total budget needed is $ 3,170,000 estimated by Al- Dyar Consultants Company – Ramallah. The Spanish government through a Spanish NGO approved a grant of $2,170,000 for the Living Stones Housing Fund. One Million US Dollars has to be raised as soon as possible.

Construction might start in August, and therefore we feel the urgent need to provide the other amount. Our hope is that Churches can continue to assist the Living Stones of the Holy Land in this vital need for homes and give them a reason to oppose emigration and maintain their presence in the Land of Jesus.
