Dear colleagues in Palestinian-Jewish relationship-building and education,
Those dear to us in the Middle East are
in great need, with
difficulty in bringing forth compassion and imagination. Citizens
outside
the region can be a source of ideas and encouragement, we believe.
In response, after nine-years and 110
meetings in sustained dialogue
and cooperation, the Jewish-Palestinian Living Room Dialogue Group
of San
Mateo County wishes to spark increased hope, creativity, and involvement
of
North American citizens to discover a Middle East peace process that
works
for all.
We believe in the greatness of the human
spirit and mind. So we ask
our fellow citizens -- women and men, young and old -- to gather together
wherever you live and respond to:
A CALL TO DIALOGUE
A call
to engage
Palestinians and Jews
and supportive others,
in a
national
dialogue
to
rise above war,
listen to all narratives,
overcome stereotypes,
see each other's equal humanity,
learn to be for both peoples, and
help our two great cultures prosper
for the good of all.
