Lebanon:

Greek Orthodox and Greek Catholic churches seek reuniting: Greek Catholic Patriarch MAXIMOS V HAKIM revealed that the Greek Catholic and Greek Orthodox churches were discussing reuniting into a single church, after more than two and a half centuries of separation.

He said that a joint committee had been formed (of Bishops GEORGE KHODR, ELIAS AUDEH, ELIAS ZOGHBI and SALIM BUSTROS to discuss details of the project. He said the relationship of the new church with Rome should be the same as the one which prevailed before the great schism of 1054.
